Western Aviation of ETA Star Group and Aviation Concepts/Sojitz Group of Japan join hands

I have two opinions on this. I think it is great that we are growing as a world nation and joining hands with Japan and other countries, but I can see a lot of older people that will not be able to make this jump because of World War 2. Of course there is not a lot of people that will remember that, but growing up I remember a lot of people who refused to buy anything Japanese just for that one reason. My family that fought mainly fought against only Germany so they never had anything against Japanese products after the war.

Western Aviation of ETA Star Group in Dubai and Aviation Concepts/Sojitz Group of Japan are joining hands to provide comprehensive professional aviation solutions. The new organization - StarJet will offer wide range of services like aircraft sales and leasing, worldwide charter, turnkey aircraft management, maintenance and FBO services.

Sojitz, one of the largest general trading firms in Japan, produces new sources of wealth by connecting the world’s economies, cultures and people in a spirit of integrity. Aviation Concepts, Inc. was born of a synergy between first-rate aviator, Terry Habeck, and global trading company Sojitz Corp. Aviation Concepts merges the uncommon knowledge and experience of aviation experts assembled by Habeck with Sojitz’s deep resources and extensive distribution reach, and the valuable trade network of Jetcraft in the U.S.A.

Private Jet Charter is Western Aviation’s core specialization. The Middle East is now the world’s fastest expanding market for private jets. The company provides seamless charter solutions through its private and secure terminal facilities, charter consultants, ground transport arrangements, onboard catering and entertainment, onboard telecommunications and well trained cabin attendants. Now the new StarJet organisation will offer the total range of professional aviation service solutions.

“Western Aviation’s tie-up with Sojitz, Japan, to form StarJet is part of our strategic move to establish global leadership in providing quality transport solutions,” pointed out A.J. Kamal, Sr. General Manager -Western Group.

According to Yohei Sakurai, Vice President Charter Sales - Sojitz Group/Aviation Concepts, “Western Aviation - Sojitz collaboration will bring a comprehensive and seamless array of aviation service solutions to the Middle East.”

Terry W. Haebeck, President and CEO – Aviation Concepts Inc, says “Aviation Concepts adds strategic value to the new collaboration by its ability to deliver global operational reach, worldwide flight approval, and the highest United FAA safety & security monitoring standards governing business flight today.”

Western Aviation is also displaying its world-class business jets at MEBA 2008 and positioned at Stand #700 in the Middle East’s premier business aviation event.

“Since 2005, Western Aviation has a remarkable record in private jet chartering in the region. In order to stand up to the expectations of customers we acquired a brand new Hawker 900XP which is an acclaimed jet in its class and keeping in mind our long term ambitious plans we have also signed for a brand new Hawker 4000 super midsized jet which will provide our customers an unmatched private chartering experience” said S. Fairoz, AGM - Western Group.

According to Ihsaan Deeb, Business Development Manager - Western Aviation, “The new collaboration leading to the formation of StarJet will enable us to offer a wider range of Aviation services to a broader spectrum of consumers.”

Western Aviation belongs to Western Group, which is a part of the renowned ETA Star Group of companies.
